Alan Baldock

Alan Baldock lives in and represents Northgate Ward, the place that has always been his home.

He is a recently retired electrical engineer who keeps a keen interest in innovation. With a lifelong respect and passion for Canterbury, its coastal towns and villages and the Kentish countryside, he enjoys the outdoors on foot whenever he can. He is involved in local community projects and is a keen fundraiser and volunteer. Alan has always said that being a councillor is a huge privilege especially having the opportunity to influence everyday life especially in Northgate ward, but meeting people and listening to their story is what he likes the most.

With your support at the election he will be focused on making sure that a Labour council will make what’s important to your street a priority. He says that reliable basic services, clean and safe streets, the return of a pride in our district and a respect for our communities are vital for the wellbeing of our city.
