Alex was born in the district and is proud to live here still with his wife and two children.
Alex’s local roots run deep, having lived himself in Canterbury and on the coast, with his relatives being part of the community as teachers, police officers, Scout leaders and tradespeople in Herne, Herne Bay, Swalecliffe, Chestfield and Whitstable. His partner works locally for the NHS, giving him insight into some of the healthcare challenges people in our area face every day.
His professional life has been spent working with people at large organisations to identify and understand their problems, devise solutions, choose the best ones and get them working. Through his work, he’s proud to have helped run award-winning charities and social outreach projects that advance real community change.
Alex is seeking election to ensure our tax money is focussed on the right things to make life better for all local people – cleaning up our seas and roads and making sure all of us and our children continue to have a great community to be part of.
