Barbara Ayling

Barbara has lived in Herne Bay the majority of her life, having also gone to local schools. Whilst bringing up a family, Barbara also worked for  several local businesses. Her children also attended local schools. 

 

Barbara is active within the local community and plays table tennis for Herne Bay in the Canterbury league. She helped campaign recently to keep the club from being closed by the council. She was also for several years a regular volunteer for Age UK. 

 

Barbara believes in good public transport services and has been active in campaigning for the retention of good bus services, particularly in Reculver & Beltinge. 

 

Barbara is an avid cyclist. She is keen on creating safer road facilities for cycling and walking routes for residents and visitors. 

 

Barbara is a cat owner and lover of both domestic pets as well as wildlife. She can often be seen supporting local wildlife rescue centres.
