Beth Forrester

About Beth

Beth, a public sector lawyer lives with her partner and two children in the middle of St Stephen’s ward. Beth has called Canterbury home for fifteen years and as a governor of a local secondary school knows which issues matter to local families and is committed to being a strong, local voice for our neighbourhood and community.

Beth loves Canterbury and St Stephen’s but knows that together we can make it even better, delivering improved council services and making our area safer, cleaner and greener.

Beth is fighting for:

  • Action on potholes

After 14 years of Tory neglect local roads are in a terrible state. I will change that. Labour is investing £1.6 billion in our roads in 2025 and fixing 7 million extra potholes a year. I’ll fight to make sure St Stephen’s gets it fair share of this new cash

  • The St Stephen's Community

There’s so much going on in St Stephen’s. This is a strong and vibrant community. Beth will work with neighbours, residents and community groups to make it’s even stronger. She’ll reach out across our community so that everyone is included and feels welcome

  • A safer, cleaner and greener Canterbury

Canterbury has some great playgrounds and open spaces. Beth will stand up for St Stephen’s and work to improve Long Meadow Park. She wants our local green spaces to be biodiverse and to be cleaner, tidier and more accessible for local people and families
