Chris Gibson

Chris has lived in the Canterbury district for more than three decades. He is a recently retired clinical negligence barrister specialising in birth injuries; and in an earlier stage of his career he also used to work in both liquor and betting licensing hearings in the Magistrates’ courts, and he used to sit as a deputy judge at Canterbury Crown Court.

Chris enjoys living on the coast with his wife; he is the father of two adult daughters and he has four grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys sailing and working in his garden, and he still has a motorbike!

He volunteered for many years in a Law Centre in London and he is very conscious of the plight of those that have been abandoned or let down by the system. He is seeking election in order to have the opportunity to pay back into the community
