Christine Wheeldon

Christine is a long term Beltinge local. She has lived with her family in Herne Bay for over 40 years, with the last 26 years in Beltinge. She understands the people, it’s environs and the need for good quality services for everyone. 
  
Christine is particularly passionate about good local schools and life long learning. Having been the Head of the Sixth Form at Herne Bay High School, she took early retirement and returned to university to study for a doctorate, being awarded her PhD in 2014. 
 
Christine is also a strong advocate for equalities and sustainability. She recognises both the challenges and opportunities of a diverse community, with the need for affordable housing, good local jobs and thriving businesses.
